Highlights
ISCAR introduces a 32 mm diameter endmill head with T21 thread size for the MULTI-MASTER line


Following the impressive success of the MULTI-MASTER family and high marketing demands for MULTI-MASTER products, ISCAR is expanding the family by introducing a new thread size: T21. The T21 thread enables the diameter range for MULTI-MASTER interchangeable endmill heads to be increased to 32 mm.

In the first stage, the following new products with T21 thread connections have been added to the family:

1. Interchangeable solid carbide endmill heads with a 32 mm diameter

Features
The new heads utilize advantageous CHATTERFREE geometry and feature a variable helix and an unequal tooth pitch. The heads are intended for a wide spectrum of operations, providing stable cutting at high material removal rates (MRR) both in rough and finish milling. The material used is TiAlN PVD coated carbide grade IC908 with a submicron substrate.

The heads are available in two types:
1.1. Five-flute heads MM ECK320H38R4-5T21 908 and MM ECK320H38R5-5T21 908 with 36°/40° helix that feature 4 and 5 mm corner radii correspondingly. The heads are designed mainly for machining titanium alloys, but may be applied to milling difficult-to-cut high-temperature ISO S materials as well.
1.2. Four-flute head MM EC320H38C06-4T21 908 with 36°/40° helix for machining mainly ISO P materials (steel, ferritic and martensitic stainless steel).

2. Shanks for interchangeable heads
The shanks have different overall lengths, shapes and are available in steel or cemented carbide.
The new T21 thread connection requires a 110 Nm tightening torque.

For secure and accurate tightening of MULTI-MASTER milling heads with a T21 thread, ISCAR provides a new clamping wrench, MM WRENCH 24-21. The wrench has an open-ended-head configuration with a 14×18 mm drive size for mounting in an appropriate interchangeable torque handle.
