New Generation Chipbreakers for Positive Inserts

Highlights
The successful new generation F3P, M3P, F3M and M3M chipbreakers are now available on positive ISO inserts


Following the great success during the last decade of the newer generation chipbreakers on negative ISO inserts, ISCAR is now expanding their use to cover the range of positive inserts.

These proven geometries had been optimized for optimal performance on CCMT, SCMT, TCMT, DCMT and VCMT inserts.

F3P
The F3P chipbreaker is mostly recommended for finishing and semi finishing steel operations. It has positive rake angles for smooth cutting, reduced cutting forces and insert wear, leading to dramatically increased tool life. The machining application area is 0.5 - 2.0 mm D.O.C. and 0.05 - 0.25 mm/rev feed.

The M3P chipbreaker was designed for medium machining steel conditions. This geometry features reinforced cutting edge with positive rake angles for smooth cutting, reduced cutting forces and insert wear, leading to dramatically increased tool life. The machining application area is 0.50 - 4.0 mm D.O.C. and 0.15 - 0.40 mm/rev feed.
